Consul-Tech's (CTE's) surveying capabilities are second to no other firm in the state. Our professionals have many years of experience in nearly all aspects of surveying across the entire state. Some of our surveying capabilities include:

Design Surveys - CTE has performed numerous design surveys for transportation corridors throughout the State. We have completed projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in Districts One, Four, Five, Six and the Florida Turnpike, ranging up to 18 miles in length.

Right of Way Mapping - CTE is one of the most respected firms in the State for the production of Right of Way maps. Our comprehensive Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan assures that these documents are produced in compliance with the standards and criteria established by the FDOT. Software platforms include Microstation/Geopak, CAICE and AutoCadd.

Construction Staking - CTE has extensive experience in construction surveying. For the private sector, we utilize our experience and technical capabilities on all types of construction projects from piling layout to infrastructure improvements. For FDOT and other public sector clients, we routinely provide surveying to support construction engineering inspection (CEI) including determination of quantities and asbuilts.

Hydrographic Surveying - CTE employs the use of digital echo sounders using GPS technology to produce hydrographic mapping products for a number of clients, including City of Miami, City of Jacksonville and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This technology far surpasses conventional methods for achieving accuracy and cost effectiveness.

Geodetic Surveying - Our firm has been involved in several "geodetic" projects utilizing our specialized GPS Total Station technology.

Aerial Mapping - Our control and traversing capabilities blend very well with quality photogrammetry techniques to produce alternatives to standard field surveying practices. Also, utilizing our GPS Total Station, we can perform this service with unprecedented accuracy in a fraction of the time required by conventional surveying.

Aviation Services - We are very familiar with the special knowledge involved with working in and around an airport. Our professionals have worked on projects at Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, Miami International Airport, Orlando International Airport, Opa-Locka Airport, Homestead Airport and North Perry Airport. Parcel maps, air rights, easements special exhibits, etc. are items that we have technical and professional expertise to handle.

Platting - We are one of the most active firms in the state performing platting.

Boundary and Topographic Surveys- Our firm has extensive boundary and topographic experience. We have handled projects as large as 15,000 acre sites. This work has been performed using conventional surveying techniques as well as modern technology such as GPS total stations.

Expert Witness Services - Our team of professionals have proven to be strong expert witnesses on surveying matters. We combine our professional knowledge and court experience in providing quality professional representation on litigation issues.

GIS Mapping - CTE has been very active in the Geographic Information System arena. Having been chosen as GIS consultant for several governmental agencies, we have developed a strong working knowledge of many GIS applications and can assist our clientele in establishing and maintaining a GIS for their project.

We maintain our knowledge and use of current field and office technology. All of our field crews are equipped with electronic total stations and most include data collection capabilities. We were one of the first firms in the southeastern United States to own and operate a GPS Total Station. This instrument utilizes satellite technology in a manner to provide survey accurate results in "real-time" (no post-processing). This tool is the biggest breakthrough in surveying technology in the past 25 years.

We have been utilizing Intergraph and PC systems for the past twelve years. Our staff is very proficient in the use of MicroStation, AutoCAD, COGO and several GIS software packages. Our computer capabilities are totally compatible with nearly every platform on the market today.
